Selected as a major implementation project in Shandong Province in 2023

Recently, the "Notice of Shandong Provincial People's Government on the List of Provincial Major Projects in 2023" was officially released, in which 525 projects of provincial major implementation category were listed, and the "Weifang Ensign Smart Manufacturing Production and Research Base Project" declared by Ensign Group was listed among them. The provincial major projects are big projects which are related to the long-term and overall economic and social development of the province. The work report of Shandong government emphasizes that it will vigorously promote the construction of major projects, and the provincial major projects are important carriers and graspers for promoting major strategies and implementing major tasks.

Ensign-Weifang Smart City is invested and constructed by Ensign Holdings Group. The project has a total investment of 2.6 billion yuan, covers an area of 920 mu and has a construction area of about 380,000 square meters, mainly constructing 66 modern intelligent manufacturing workshops, and supporting the construction of comprehensive service center, R&D center, staff living center and other service facilities.

At present, 34 plants have been started, covering an area of about 600 mu, with a construction area of about 180,000 square meters. The first plants were delivered at the end of 2022, and the remaining plants under construction are expected to be delivered one after another by June 2023.

The project focuses on attracting high-quality industries such as intelligent manufacturing, intelligent assembly, precision instruments, machining, etc. After completion, it will form a cluster development pattern with the equipment manufacturing, new energy, high-tech industries in the area, cultivate a new ecology of construction machinery industry with high-end positioning, outstanding advantages and high aggregation, and build a domestic first-class modern intelligent manufacturing production and research base.
