The typhoon is raging. In recent days, the most reported news from various regions has been the wind and rain damage caused by Typhoon Lekima. Shandong, as a region that the typhoon is bound to pass through, could not escape its impact. From August 10 to 11, the Weifang area experienced heavy winds and rain brought by the typhoon. Although local authorities had already made extensive preparations for protection, within a short period of time, the cumulative rainfall in most areas exceeded 250 millimeters, and in some localized areas even surpassed 500 millimeters, plunging certain regions into severe flooding. Local authorities immediately activated emergency relief measures.

Racing to the rescue. Early on the 11th, Ensign Heavy Industry promptly established the “Ensign Heavy Industry Flood Relief Rescue Team,” dispatching several loaders along with disaster relief personnel to rush to the affected areas for rescue operations.

The primary rescue sites for Ensign Heavy Industry are the severely affected villages across the region. Due to sudden, torrential rainfall, by the time the team arrived at the disaster-stricken areas, entire villages had already been submerged in floodwaters. Because of the low-lying terrain and continuous rain, water levels kept rising steadily; in some places, the accumulated water reached over one meter deep, trapping villagers in the floodwaters and preventing them from evacuating on their own. Upon the arrival of Ensign Heavy Industry’s flood-relief rescue team, they immediately began rescue operations. Using loaders, they drove back and forth along bumpy, muddy, and narrow village roads, swiftly and efficiently evacuating affected residents and rescuing vital supplies amid the pouring rain, thereby turning around the dire situation and ensuring the safety of the local population.
