The Electric Era, Leading the Future—Ensign Heavy Industries’s Electric Loader Customer Appreciation Event Successfully Held



  On April 20, the customer appreciation event for Ensign Heavy Industry’s electric loaders—themed “The Electric Era, Leading the Future with Intelligence”—was successfully held. Attending the event were numerous leaders from Ensign Heavy Industry, including General Manager Wang Jinhua, Assistant to the General Manager Wang Jun, Deputy General Manager of the Loader Business Division Zhu Xiaoxi, and Deputy General Manager Yan Yunqiao, along with relevant heads from the Loader Business Division. Together with representatives from research institutions, partners, and customers from across the country, they had the opportunity to experience the ultra-high performance of the EPIC series electric loaders.

This tasting event consisted of two main parts: a technical exchange and a full-machine evaluation. At the technical exchange, Mr. Wang Jinhua, General Manager of Ensign Heavy Industry, delivered a speech. Since its establishment, Ensign Heavy Industry has consistently put customers first and been value-oriented, adhering to product-driven innovation and focusing on operational needs to build differentiated competitive advantages. Following the clear call made at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to win the battle for blue skies, the construction machinery industry is facing increasingly stringent emission-control requirements and intensified regulatory oversight in certain regions. The wave of demand for clean energy is already upon us. Upholding the principle of innovative development and focusing on electrification and intelligent technologies, Ensign Heavy Industry has launched the “EPIC” series of new-energy loaders—products that have emerged precisely in this context.

Deputy General Manager Yan Yunqiao provided a detailed and comprehensive introduction to the YX656EV, which was involved in this evaluation. The YX656EV is a fully electric-powered loader from the EPIC series, featuring characteristics such as all-electric drive (Electric), powerful performance (Powerful), intelligent control (Intelligent), and energy efficiency with cost savings (Cost-saving). It is a product jointly developed by Ensign Heavy Industry in collaboration with research institutes, specialized suppliers, and other relevant entities, and it boasts independent intellectual property rights—making it a truly electric-powered loader.

Subsequently, General Manager Yan provided a comprehensive explanation of the whole-machine evaluation process. The whole-machine evaluation involved comparative testing of the Ensign electric loader and the fuel-powered loader across five different categories, enabling on-site customers to gain a more intuitive understanding of the YX656EV electric loader.

Item 1: Noise Testing

After the two loaders were started up separately, on-site measurements were conducted. By comparing the noise levels recorded near the driver’s ears inside the cab, we found that the fuel-powered loader generated about 80 decibels, while the electric loader produced around 60 decibels. The electric loader is ultra-quiet and offers a more comfortable operating experience.

Item 2: Acceleration Performance Testing

Under a load condition (with a 5.1-ton configuration block), the two machines were compared in terms of their acceleration performance from a standstill. Compared to conventional engines, the permanent-magnet synchronous motor used in electric loaders features a compact size, light weight, high power density, high reliability, precise speed regulation, and rapid response. This enables the loader to deliver maximum power and acceleration, resulting in even more robust overall machine performance.

Item 3: Work Lift Efficiency Test

Under load conditions, three sets of tests were conducted, involving simultaneous side walking and boom lifting. The electric loader employs a new-generation electronically controlled positive-displacement hydraulic system that supplies hydraulic oil on demand, delivering greater force, faster speeds, and reduced energy loss. Field tests have shown that the electric loader completes operations more quickly.

The application of dual-pump combined-flow technology has increased the boom lifting speed by 15% and boosted the digging force by 10%. Equipped with electric proportional control handles that allow independent operation, this system enables rapid boom lifting without needing to press the accelerator pedal. The total time for these three operations is only 9 seconds, representing a 17% increase in working speed.

Item 4: Load Climbing Capability Test

In the same load condition, the electric loader completed the uphill climb on two ramps more quickly and effortlessly, fully demonstrating its powerful performance.

Item 5: 5-Minute Loading Efficiency Test

In this project, two test loaders performed V-bucket loading operations at their respective maximum speeds. A comparison of the 5-minute operation data showed that the electric loader’s productivity could be 15% to 20% higher than that of the fuel-powered loader.

The electric loader boasts a working weight exceeding 19 tons, an ultra-long wheelbase of 3.3 meters, and a rated payload of 5,500 kg. It comes standard with a 3.3 m³ square bucket and has a combined rated power of 195 kW. Its operational efficiency significantly surpasses that of fuel-powered loaders with similar tonnage.

Meanwhile, another major advantage of electric loaders in operational conditions is that their operating costs are significantly lower than those of fuel-powered loaders. Electric loaders can save substantially on energy consumption and maintenance costs over the course of a year.

The outstanding performance of the YX656EV electric loader during the comprehensive evaluation was highly praised by the attending users. Mr. Wang, a customer from Heilongjiang, placed an order on-site for an Ensign electric loader, and the company held a grand handover ceremony to mark this occasion. As of this year, Mr. Wang has already put 12 Ensign loaders into use one after another. He remarked, “Ensign Heavy Industry has always paid close attention to the genuine needs of each of our customers. The Ensign loaders’ powerful engine and highly efficient, reliable performance are perfectly suited to my current working conditions—this is precisely why I’ve consistently chosen Ensign products. This has further strengthened my confidence in choosing electric loaders.”
