From the very beginning of its establishment, Zhonglian Commercial Concrete has been planning with the goal of setting an environmental benchmark—implementing enclosed systems, mist-spraying systems, wastewater treatment systems, increasing green space, and procuring 50 new-energy tank trucks in a single batch. Even when other manufacturers were still watching and waiting to see how the new-energy loaders would perform, Becoming the first commercial concrete enterprise in Henan Province to directly purchase electric loaders.

On July 4, the Ensign electric loader began its career at Zhonglian Shangtong Concrete. Regarding the first electric loader, General Manager Geng stated that this is an important component of Zhonglian Shangtong’s environmentally friendly production. Finally, General Geng did some calculations: Compared to fuel-powered loaders, electric loaders have a slightly higher initial investment, but their actual operating costs are lower than those of fuel-powered loaders. According to the calculations, A fully electric loader can save between 15,000 and 20,000 yuan per month in fuel costs. Electric loaders indeed have a clear advantage in terms of economic benefits.

Eco-friendly production is a massive investment project, yet the benefits it brings are equally impressive. One year after the plant was built, the entire Henan region began stepping up its environmental inspections. In repeated reviews, Zhonglian Commercial Concrete consistently passed with flying colors—often earning top marks or even setting industry benchmarks. Without any interruptions and without needing to make corrective adjustments, production has continued unabated, and green transportation routes have remained smooth and unimpeded. Starting from the second half of 2015, the company’s production capacity doubled—from 700,000 cubic meters in 2016 to 900,000 cubic meters in 2019, as the advantages of eco-friendly production started to become increasingly evident.

With the local environmental protection measures being upgraded, on July 9, 2021, the Henan Province On-site Conference for Promoting and Applying New-Energy Loaders was held at the premises of Zhonglian Commercial Concrete Plant. Coincidentally, it was precisely during the operating hours of Ensign electric loaders that the plant was bustling with loading and material-handling activities. Attendees not only observed firsthand the loaders’ operational status but also had the opportunity to personally take a test ride under the guidance of environmental experts, experiencing firsthand the eco-friendly benefits brought by new-energy power systems. Through this conference, Zhonglian Commercial Concrete showcased its environmental philosophy and layout—established from the very beginning of its construction—in a more intuitive manner to the attendees and even to the entire industry, thereby setting a provincial-level benchmark for environmentally friendly concrete plants in Henan Province.

Accelerate navigation and join hands with new energy enterprises for common development.

Speaking about the company’s future plans for deploying new energy technologies, General Manager Geng stated that Zhonglian Shangtong Concrete will accelerate the replacement of its vehicle fleet with new-energy vehicles. As of now, nearly all of the loaders within the plant have already been converted to pure electric models. By the end of this year, the company will complete the full replacement of its fuel-powered loaders. By the end of next year, all China VI emission standard transport vehicles will also be phased out entirely.

Mr. Geng believes that environmentally friendly production is not just the responsibility of a single company or industry—it’s a shared responsibility of the entire society. He stated that Zhonglian Concrete will actively collaborate with various new-energy machinery manufacturers and upstream and downstream enterprises in the concrete production sector to jointly promote environmentally sustainable development.
