Hand in Hand, Winning Together—Ensign Heavy Industry Forklift Division Successfully Held Its 2024 Supplier Annual Conference

On January 3, the 2024 Supplier Conference of Ensign Forklift was grandly held in Weifang, Shandong Province. This year’s supplier conference was themed “Working Together for a Win-Win Future,” aiming to jointly explore with our supplier partners how supply chains can achieve mutual prosperity and win-win outcomes in the global environment. Li Yanxuan, President of Ensign Group, and Pan Guangjian, Deputy General Manager of the Forklift Division, along with leaders from various levels within the division, attended the conference. The meeting was chaired by Li Jiangtao, Head of the Procurement Department of the Forklift Division. During the conference, leaders from the Procurement Department and the Quality Management Department delivered special reports respectively.

At the meeting, Li Yanxuan, President of Ensign Group, delivered a speech in which he fully recognized the achievements made by Ensign Heavy Industry in 2023. He pointed out that Ensign Heavy Industry is currently making every effort to undergo digital and intelligent transformation, electrification, and internationalization—achievements that would not have been possible without the strong support of our supplier partners. He urged everyone to uphold the principles of “integrity, openness, innovation, and win-win cooperation,” to think together, compete together, grow together, and work jointly to provide customers with high-quality services, ensuring perfect delivery and continuously creating value. Looking ahead, in 2024, Ensign Heavy Industry will focus on “improving quality and enhancing efficiency,” reducing ineffective marketing expenses, achieving industry-leading standards in product quality and delivery, and actively collaborating with supplier partners to promote green and sustainable development.

Pan Guangjian, Deputy General Manager of the Ensign Forklift Division, delivered a development report on each business segment. With the easing of pandemic restrictions, various industries are gradually recovering, and the macroeconomic environment is showing steady improvement. As a result, forklift sales have begun to grow significantly year-on-year. In 2023, Ensign Forklift further expanded its product platform, creating a diversified product portfolio that enables differentiated competition. The product lineup has been enriched even further, covering a wide range of models from 2 to 12 tons. New-energy forklifts have achieved major breakthroughs—from R&D to market application—and Ensign has accumulated extensive experience in electric control systems and software. Mr. Pan expressed his hope that all supply chain partners will join Ensign in facing the competitive landscape head-on, staying committed to innovation-driven development, achieving technology leadership, focusing on collaborative cooperation, and realizing win-win outcomes through supply chain integration. Li Jiangtao, Head of the Procurement Department at Ensign Forklift Division, presented a report on procurement module operations. Ensign Heavy Industry is strengthening its supplier management efforts by conducting preliminary assessments and comparisons of potential suppliers, thereby introducing high-quality suppliers and improving the overall quality of its supplier base. To better support the transformation and development of its supplier partners, he stated that Ensign Heavy Industry will continue to embrace co-creation of value, further enhance its supply chain system, and work together with supplier partners to develop products that are both penetrating and highly attractive.

In the product technology report, Wang Guanglin, Deputy Director of the Technical Center of Ensign Forklift Division, provided a comprehensive overview of Ensign ’s 2023 internal combustion and electric forklift models, as well as the R&D directions for Ensign ’s new forklift products in 2024. Based on emerging market trends and characteristics, he put forward entirely new requirements for the key components and technologies of different products.

Cao Mingyang, Head of the Quality Management Department of Ensign Forklift Division, delivered a special report on quality. Product quality is vital to the survival of an enterprise. Superior product quality not only helps companies win markets and achieve better profitability but also serves as a continuous driving force for their sustainable development. In light of the current status of product quality control in Ensign ’s procurement process, Director Cao analyzed existing problems, clarified the quality management requirements for 2024, and put forward specific demands and arrangements for both suppliers and buyers.
